About Me

I graduated with a BS Horticulture UW Madison in 1983. I went on to expand and manage Johannsen’s Greenhouse perennial plant department from 1984-1995.

I started Fertile earth in 1995 to continue using my passions of plants, art, creating.  Throughout the years I have thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated working closely with my clients using their ideas and my knowledge to create a landscape that is personalized to their requests that they can enjoy.  It has been many years of hard work, but work that I love and can’t imagine my life without. The satisfaction of visually seeing the creation and transformation of customer’s gardens and the pleasure it gives them has been my biggest reward.
